Påske Retreat i Lofoten – Et lille indblik i vores seneste tur

The season is coming to an end in Lofoten.

We’ve now wrapped up another peak season in Lofoten, and what a season it has been. We, Fie and Bjørn, are left feeling proud, fulfilled, motivated, happy, inspired, and above all, grateful.

This year, we welcomed even more visitors, and once again, we can say that together we’ve created truly special experiences. At least, that’s what our guests’ feedback tells us.

The words we hear most often when people describe their journey with us are presence, safety, and experiences that go far beyond the ordinary. And that is exactly the core of what we aim to share with our guests.

The season has been filled with both individual stays and larger group projects, and we’ve enjoyed every single meeting, every trip, and every experience we’ve shared. Additionally, we’ve had the pleasure of exciting collaborations with NORDBAEK, Emma Østergaard, EYDA, and Laura Petri — projects that have made the season valuable and even more inspiring.

We also can’t overlook the friendships that occasionally form between us and our guests, not to mention the network we’ve built, which we are incredibly grateful and happy for. It means the world to us to feel how Lofoten connects people across boundaries.

Now, we turn our focus to the 2026 season. We have so many exciting plans in the works, and we look forward to presenting new projects, experiences, and collaborations.

We hope that your paths will cross with Lofoten and us once again.

With warm regards
Fie og Bjørn

Lofoten – What is the Midnight Sun?

The midnight sun is one of nature’s most breathtaking and magical phenomena. It occurs in the northern parts of the world, where during the summer months the sun never sets but remains visible throughout the night. Imagine a sun that never says goodnight, where day and night blend together in an endless light.

The phenomenon is caused by the Earth's tilt in relation to its orbit around the sun. Above the Arctic Circle, which Lofoten lies close to, the sun stays so high in the sky during summer that it does not dip below the horizon for several weeks.

The Midnight Sun in Lofoten

Lofoten is one of the very best places to experience the midnight sun. From the end of May to mid-July, the archipelago is bathed in soft, golden light that gives the landscape a unique atmosphere and tranquility. It is not just a sight for the eyes but an experience that speaks to the soul and awakens the spirit of adventure.

The long, bright nights invite truly unique activities — such as hiking under the glowing sky, nighttime fishing trips, or simply enjoying the silence and beauty of nature outside the usual daily rhythm. For many, the midnight sun becomes a memory for life.
